Terms of Service

Last updated 5 November 2026

The short version

GuessMate is free to play. Be decent to other players. Only use photos you're allowed to use. GuessMate Pro is a one-off purchase. Nothing here takes away your legal rights.

Who we are

GuessMate is made by an independent developer in the United Kingdom. The developer's details are on our Google Play page. You can contact us at guessmaster@guessmate.co.uk.

Using GuessMate

By playing GuessMate, you agree to these terms. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you create an account or buy anything.

You can play as a guest, and your progress stays on that device. If you create an account, keep access to your email address, as that's how you sign in.

Playing fairly

Please don't cheat, interfere with the game or its servers, harass other players, or pick a name that's offensive or pretends to be someone else. We may remove a name, a score or an account that breaks these rules.

Your photos

If you make a board from photos, only use photos you have the right to use, of people who are happy to be on it. Don't use anything offensive or illegal. The photos remain yours. Our privacy policy explains how they're handled.

GuessMate Pro

GuessMate Pro is a one-off purchase with no subscription. It's kept on your account, so it works wherever you sign in. The price is shown before you pay.

In the Android app, you pay through Google Play. On the website, you pay through Stripe. Pro starts as soon as your payment goes through. By buying, you ask us to supply it straight away, and you understand this means you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel.

If a purchase goes wrong, or Pro doesn't work, email us and we'll help. Google Play purchases can also follow Google's refund process. If a payment is refunded, Pro may be removed from the account. Your legal rights, including when digital content is faulty, aren't affected.

Changes to the game

We keep improving GuessMate, so features, card sets and special events can change, and special events can end. We can't promise the game will always be available or free of errors, and online play needs a connection.

Ownership

The GuessMate name, logo, characters, art and game are ours. Please don't copy or resell them. GuessMate is an independent Guess Who style game. It isn't made by or connected with Hasbro.

If things go wrong

We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for problems caused by things outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the game. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also use your local courts, and you keep the consumer rights your home country gives you.
